This 400-hectare walk-in farm lies in the heart of the Compassberg Protected Environment
(CPE)—South Africa’s first proclaimed protected environment in the Karoo. It plays a vital role
in the headwaters of the Klein Zeekoei, Klein Brak, and Diepkloof Rivers, which feed major
river systems including the Orange, Great Fish, and Sundays Rivers.
Strategically located 45 km west of Middelburg, 38 km north of Nieu Bethesda, and 90 km
north of Graaff-Reinet, this property boasts reliable water resources, climate resilience, and
outstanding infrastructure—perfectly suited for livestock, irrigation farming, and ecotourism.

WATER RESOURCES
18 ha dam fed by a large catchment area and supported by underground water,
enabling irrigation from below and reducing input costs.
4 weirs, water sponge zones, natural fountains, and multiple boreholes.
Year-round river flow forming natural ponds throughout the landscape.
High water table aids low-input irrigation and long-term water security.
30 ha registered water rights, with 25 ha currently under production.
Borehole flow rates range from 20 L/hr to 75,000 L/hr.
